Using master alloys reduces fume emission and increases magnesium recovery. Our master alloys can also be used as oxygen and sulfur inoculants.

The 5 to 15 percent magnesium-content nickel-base alloy is a dense material. It can be placed on the bottom of a ladle of virtually any shape or size. When used in small unit quantities, it is also possible to add to the surface of an already charged ladle. The magnesium recovery rate is high and predictable, and is not as sensitive to metal temperature as are the nickel-free procedures.
